Vegetarian and Vegan Options Generate Customer Excitement

The menu at our cafe' includes vegetarian and vegan options for most of the items listed, as well as several selections on the daily special board. Many of our customers select and enjoy these options: soy chicken, soy pepper steak, soy shrimp, tempeh, and tofu. Vegetarian protein options may be ordered with all of the major menu items.

There are several places on the web where interested people can look to see comments from our customers. First is the Urban Spoon web site--urbanspoon.com--where our menu has been posted and photos of several of our menu items are available. Also, there are comments on Yelp, Citysearch, and Portland Food.org. If you visited us and enjoyed our food please add your comments to these or other places on the internet.

We thank everyone who has visited us and given so much encouragement in these opening months of our cafe'.

Fish and Seafood Dishes Continue as a Big Hit

There are many fish and seafood selections on the menu. The House Special section of the menu contains several such dishes. Salmon swims in panang curry with green beans and basil, and salmon jumps with flavor in the basil salmon combined with chili peppers, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and crispy basil. The flaming seafood fires with flavors of mixed seafood seasoned with garlic, ginger, and oyster sauce.

Many of the other dishes can be made with shrimp, scallop, or a combination of seafood.

Thai Dishes Make a Big Impact in the Neighborhood

The daily special menu features Lemongrass Chicken along with several other tasty selections. Also, the special deserts include Green Tea Ice Cream and Mango with Sticky Rice.

Make sure to try one of our curries: red, green, yellow, and panang. All are made with fresh ingredients following family recipes. Orders allow for including meat, seafood, vegetarian, and vegan protein. The amount of spice can be adjusted to your taste, but there are many other flavors in these dishes.

Neighbors from close by are some of our best customers, and many happily spread the word about our comfortable environment and satisfying home cooking from Thailand. We look forward to seeing our new friends again soon, and we anticipate meeting more people from the Humbolt and surrounding neighborhoods.
